Digital Narratives

“Digital Narratives” is an ongoing series of landscape panoramas designed to pose questions to myself or others considering human, social, environmental concerns.  The photographic images are framed in landscape form embracing a broader concept of landscape that includes domestic considerations as well as urban/rural or remote landscape environments.  The photographs are by nature autobiographical, a first person look at being human in the world.  The photographs are taken with a point and shoot camera in the manner of a hunter/gatherer.  The individual photographs within the combined image sets are most often not from the same time and place. The visual constructs are connected by form and context in much the same way as words in a poem.   Phrasing and apparent gaps in logic are important to the work.  The history of art, including film, theater and film are often referenced in the photographic prints.
