Digital Video Stills

During Sabbatical 2004-05 I photographed extensively using digital video to make very short image sequences with which to create panoramic prints.  For the most part digital cameras were unattractive to me, however shooting video allowed me to conceptualize digital imaging, and study questions of time and space in a way that was not possible with still cameras.  I felt no emotional connection to digital still cameras, but video cameras were less obtrusive and interfering during this period of experimentation.  I felt freer.  I had no rules associated with video.  This work is incomplete in itself.   More work is needed to complete this series.  This digital video has provided a bridge to the digital narratives I have been making for the past five years.
